Incoming McKinley freshman Dara Glass signs up for Glee Club after taking a shine to Mr. Schue a la Susie Pepper. Unlike Susie’s overt Crazy Eyes, however, Dara’s End of Days Wet Stare stays hidden for half a season while she carouses with Tina/Sam/Artie/Mike/Mercedes (aka “The Oft Forgotten”) until the writers remember she exists and spring her into an out-of-the-blue Lusting After Finn plot.

Long story short, things end badly (fire and ballads brimstone may be involved) and Dara transfers to Jane Addams Reform School where she crafts feather accessories from schoolyard carrion and never sings again.

That’s So Aria - Season 1 Episode 3 - “A Heart That Beats Is a Heart That zzzzzzzzzzz” Another week of Pretty Little Liars, another week of Aria being in need of a Sassy Gay Friend. Or better parents than the ex-Mr. Hilary Swank (aka The Lowe That’s Not Rob) and a Charmed One. It’s not even that this…thing is so outrageous and you have to stop and stare — it’s so outrageous you can’t believe how bored you still are by the character and her heart-related issues (which are, unfortunately, not fatal).

I just started watching Pretty Little Liars, but I had seen Latoya’s previous ruminations on Aria’s accessories. I knew I was in for some crazy. But I was completely unprepared for this. I mean, what is that? Why is she wearing it on only one side? Is it her secret tribute to Nelly Furtado? Does skeezy teacher have a bird fetish? Is it an attempt to offset her incredible blandness?
